Monthly Gardening Costs?? I have an okay size back yard.. not too big, a little front yard and a 3 ft strip side slope yard with flowers (no grass) on

I love my garden. I grow tomatoes, peppers, squash, melons and fruit trees. Great hobby and home-grown tomatoes are the best. Rip out that yard and bushes and put in a real garden.

even Zillow is starting to reflect reality!

My understanding is that the pricing model uses recent sales. A few months ago there were few or no sales so prices will reflect the higher bubble prices but as more sales go thru, the model updates. Kind of like your golf handi, only your most recent 18 (i think) rounds are included in...

Where do you get your furniture?

We just picked up some beautiful Broyhill stuff at 70% off from Big Lots. Broyhill is gone now but they have been getting in some nice designer stuff, you just have to check back periodically.

Bath Time: Was Listed at $800K -- Now $610K

Ugly yellow box home built 36 years ago. Didn't even bother to post any interior pictures. So far listing has only gone down 25% and is 15% below 2004 sale price, considering losses of 50% have been reported elsewhere, this isn't so dramatic yet. I agree this property has a lot...

    Selling IPO

Ahhh, I always suspected that ipop was a dwarf... You can tell by the 1/2 size furniture he uses to stage his home to make the rooms look bigger... Nice color scheme though.

    Opinions on a CDM Property

Very nice house but hard to know what it will sell for and when in this market. Someone's going to have to come in with a huge down and large income to qualify for the mortgage and those someone's are rare. As a buyer, you probably have more to gain by waiting then making an offer.

Downtown Huntington Beach Real Estate Market??

Piece of advise for newcomers to HB. Buy the annual beach parking pass. Even if you don't surf, its still great to have and if you want to visit the new Resort, you can park in the beach lot and walk over on the bridge over PCH instead of paying for parking.

Downtown Huntington Beach Real Estate Market??

Quite being such a loud troll... I've been in HB for 18 years and I love it. Wouldn't trade it for Irvine for all the money in world. Never had any problems. Love to eat breakfast downtown on the weekends. The pier is great for walking, the bike path is awesome and the local movie...

Downtown Huntington Beach Real Estate Market??

Downtown HB was pretty much the same in the mid 90's as it is now. Don't let the gay guy put you off, it's fine to take your family downtown. I'm sure your not going to be there with your family after 8pm when the bars start hopping. We don"t have a lot of skinheads. Now HB in the...

Downtown Huntington Beach Real Estate Market??

I also purchased an ocean view condo in HB in '91 and prices declined 20% over the next three years and took 9 years to recover. This time around, I have a feeling prices have a lot more to fall, and 20% decline on on $400,000 is $80,000 but 20% on $1mil is $200K so you are talking an order...
