does the wireless part of a router work well inside the wiring box

Second attempt at my question below.

So for those of you that added outlets/data ports.  Were you able to ugraded a phone outlet to a universal outlet or did you just after add another outlet for the cable/data/tv?

Thanks for the info.  So then the data ports become useful. If I got it right:  in the box you can hook up the cable --> modem --> router --> then data port wires.  And you hook up the cable --> VOIP box --> phone port wires.  Right? THen I guess you put a wireless router outside the box...

All of the new homes have a wiring hub (usually in the master closet).  I actually have one in my current apt and was able to hook up my VOIP to all of the existing phone jacks.  My question is can an internet router be hooked up right in this data hub without a computer, so that the existing...

From the floor plans is looks like two units share a wall (no windows on one side of every plan).  Funny they only show pics of stand alone homes ...  I wonder if they are trying to mislead people?

The higher the home the larger the shadow.  As the homes are already close together, a third story would put many of the outdoor spaces in the shadows.  So much for sunny California

Not bad layouts but the total square footage is pretty small for what they are offering.  does not look like there is a lot of outdoor space except for plan 1.

Thanks for the update Lula. The cali rooms are usually 10 feet deep.  Are the making them bigger or is the entire courtyard going to be 20' deep?

The plan 3 seems very big.  Why are they making the conservatory standard?  Where are they going to gad another room (or are they eliminating the loft)?

Carmel II will be next to Keystone based on a previous post.  I was at sonoma the other day and they did not know if they would be building on the plots next to them.  Those are bigger than the current lots, so i suppose new home designs would be made - TIC does not want to give too much land away.

If you count the number of lots visable with the satellite view on google maps, there are about 63 next to Keystone.  I wonder if Carmel will use all of those?

So if they are off of keystone who will be in the lots betwen the new Carmel and Sonoma?

What's the advantage of a pre-wire for surround sound vs just getting the speakers installed.  It seams that if only the pre-wire is installed its harder to "hide" the speakers?  Or am I missing something?  One thought is that there speakers are not high end?

Congrats on the home. Plan 2 with the conservatory and bonus room was out favorite as well.  We ended up with sonoma just for the price.  No kids so we did not need the room yet.  Which phase are they selling now?
