Who's Pissed They're Not Getting a Rebate Check?

Nude, you better think twice before attacking Sweden as soft on defense. They have a very strong military industry. They produce their own guns, planes, and ordinance.

    dead people in the house?

I read the other day that the Wonderland murders house was up for sale again. No mention of the murders of course.

    First Vacation to Hawaii

One more thing... I would pick up a guide book on the island that you wind up choosing. You can buy them at any Barnes and Noble. I wound up with the Frommer's day to day on Maui and it was really useful.

    First Vacation to Hawaii

My girlfriend says that next time we go to Maui she wants to stay in Hana. At least she doesn't have expensive tastes. :)

    First Vacation to Hawaii

We went for the first time last July and chose Maui. It was very beautiful. I don't know about Hawaii to recommend which island is the best. My brother went to Kauai and it's supposed to be more rural and less touristy. He loved it there. I think that's what we're going to try next...

I'm outraged I am getting a rebate check. Does that count?

U.S. Entering Stagflation era by Greenspan

I thought the policy to avoid a severe economic downturn *was* stagflation.

Today's (Feb 2nd) REDC Auction First Person Readouts

I agree with the gist of what xsocal is saying. I still say banks should really take advantage of the "I won" auction mindset right now while it lasts. People will think they're getting deals when they're not.

can I bring my agent when I deal with new homes?

"Gee that's too bad. Guess I'll have to buy a house somewhere else. I'm sure you won't have any problems finding another buyer. Thanks."

Prop 94,95,96,97?? What do you think?

Whatever gives the natives the most is what I'll support. If they natives think this is a sweetheart deal for them, then that's good enough for me. It just happens to have the added bonus of paying something into our General Fund.

The morality of walking away from debt

<p><em>"I realize I agreed to the deal when I signed the mortgage papers, but I am within my rights to walk away from a bad deal and suffer the consequences, just as many corporations write down billions of dollars of debt, lose money for their shareholders, and lay off people as a result of...

    Headlines...

Is the conforming news as bad as it seems to me? Conforming not only lowers rates but has more lax lending standards, right? It was one of those things that I thought by the nature of how it works meant that house prices had to fall a lot.

    TIC : Rental Increase

I have a Jr. 1 Bedroom in Northpark that has gone from $1305 in 2/05 to $1490 now. It's now almost their retail cost even though we're faithful renters who never cause trouble and always paid on time. I've complained about the increases every year and they'll lower it a little, but it's...

Yeah, if it's under warranty, call them out and make them fix it. It's their fault it wasn't done right, make them take the time and expense to make it right.

Presidential Candidate Thread: Is Ron Paul good for the country?

Politics by definition has to be secular. One American that isn't Christian will have his rights infringed if 99.9999999999999999999999999 of Americans are Christian and agree with the Christianizing of policy making. Plus these coded messages he and Bush make in their speeches to...

Presidential Candidate Thread: Is Ron Paul good for the country?

Huckabee makes it an issue when he throws it in everyone's faces at every opportunity he gets (mentioning Christ in a political ad? whooooooa there partner). Like I said, he can be as faithful and church going as he wants in his personal life, but it has no business in the political spectrum.

Presidential Candidate Thread: Is Ron Paul good for the country?

When it comes to government, freedom of religion means freedom from religion. In their private lives, they can be as devoutly religious as they want. Just keep it out of laws.
