I'm calling it for Extreme Pizza (Trabuco Grove)

And, way off topic here, I went to California Fish Grill at Culver and Barranca today at 12:15. It is usually hard to find a place to park, there is a line out the door, and good luck getting a table. Not today, plenty of open parking, a few people in line and plenty of open tables. Not that...

I never see more than a few people at Daphne's during peak hours too.

I'm calling it for Extreme Pizza (Trabuco Grove)

Doesn't surprise me if they go. Went once, place was dirty, but one other customer in there. Clearly they had time to clean it up. Pizza wasn't very good. Staff was indifferent. I had First Class the other day at Woodbury Town center, better pizza, cleaner restaurant and more attentive...

What other areas outside of California have you found it to be very similar to Irvine?

Master planned communities and cities are a dime a dozen these days. Perhaps Irvine led the way but I'm not convinced any of them are that great. Minus the weather and proximity to the beach, Irvine is a bland, car centric, boring place that has a lot in common with many suburban and now...

    Short sale / foreclosure question

Thanks. I thought it seemed like a short sale too. Any way to dig deeper and find out the individuals associated with the trust?

    Short sale / foreclosure question

Thanks. I'm helping someone out of state. The owner was listed as a trust. The trust was listed as the address of the property plus the word trust, ie: 1234 Barranca Trust. About $100,000 was owed on the property and it looks like the trust got it for $40,000, then it looks like it was sold...

    Short sale / foreclosure question

When looking at public property records how can you tell what is a foreclosure and what is a short sale? How will they be reported on the public records?

HELL YES!!! Santelli & Traders on CNBC nails it

Sorry, I thought this thread was about Santelli's rant about deadbeat mortgage holders. I think that is misguided. I don't watch CNBC or follow Santelli so Kudos to him if he has held our government and wall street accountable. That I agree with.

Following the footsteps of IPO and Trojan in Chicago: Panda's quest to unload his townhome.

Personally I'd stay in Chicago, but that's just me. Don't you own a home in Atlanta too? After all the other posts and such I'm not sure what is true but I thought I remember reading you had a home in Duluth. Why are you holding on to that one and selling the one in Chicago. I'd rent the one...

I want to do stadium workouts...

You could also run the trail next to Shady Canyon that goes up Quail Hill. You can run the hill a few times or take the trail over to Turtle Rock and back. There is parking at the trailhead off Shady Canyon.

Name your top 5 restaurants in Irvine and why?

I don't know if I can come up with 5, Irvine restaurants are that bad. I would concur that California Fish Grill has the best fish tacos (Sorry Rubio's) Other than the ones already mentioned I would add: Javiers at the Spectrum (Mexican) The Counter at Woodbury Center (Burger joint)...

Biking in Laguna Coast Wilderness Park

Sure, you can ride a cyclocross. I've actually seen road bikes out there. Would I recommend it on that section of trail? No, only for the most accomplished riders. Even then I would question it when you can get a nice light hardtail mountain bike with a lockable front suspension that would...

Biking in Laguna Coast Wilderness Park

Thank you. This thread inspired me to ride Laguna Coast. It had been too long since I had ridden it. I just got back. Man I love that place. I almost forgot where I was until I looked out to see the Pacific and Catalina. From the Laguna Coast gate to the Ridge Park gate it took 42:30. It...

Biking in Laguna Coast Wilderness Park

I've ridden the trail from Ridge Park to Laguna Coast each way many, many times. I haven't ridden up Ridge Park from Newport Coast but I've driven it enough to know that 10 minutes is very ambitious, more like 15 to 20. Another 15 to 20 to cross the park and another 15 to 20 up the hill to...

Biking in Laguna Coast Wilderness Park

This would be one epic commute. You'd start with a major road climb to the top of Ridge Park. Then it's pretty much downhill fireroad all the way to the parking lot at Laguna Coast. A mountain bike is definetly recommended as the last descent to Laguna Coast is very steep and rocky. Then...

Why buy in Woodbury? It freakin stinks every other day out there.

I've lived in Woodbury for nearly 3 years and have never smelled that odor in Woodbury. I've noticed it on occasion in the evenings right at the 5 and Sand Canyon. I thought it might be the irrigation for the adjacent strawberry field. You don't notice it in Woodbury. It's not the dump.
