    Freeway Hazards

This article is upsetting. Especially since I was on the 57 freeway this Saturday PM, and my car was struck by a 3 foot piece of tire tread kicked up by the car in front. Smashed my bumper and headlight, breaking the light. Now I'm out $1,000 with insurance. There are all sorts of hazards...

Villages of Columbus - Columbus Square - Camden Place

I'm pretty sure the CC&R's state that the garage needs to be used for parking and parking only. That means not for storage, not for TV's and ping pong tables and couches, not for woodworking, and not to use as a poker room. All of which is currently happening here in good 'ol Camden.

Villages of Columbus - Columbus Square - Camden Place

With more people working from home/unemployed, i've seen a lot of these cars in the same spots for days. Personally we have three cars, but I fit two into the garage (my roommate gets a spot) However certain cars are there all day/week. I mean seriously, you can't fit a harley in the...

Who to use for credit checks on rental applications

I used the National Association of landlords. I paid a one time fee, and never paid anything afterwards so i don't think it's an annual fee type thing. Might want to check it out.

    Haunted House in Irvine?

So no KKK or satanic cult worshippers? Or no feeling of someone watching you? Or the inability to start your car after you come back down? Riding alone at night with no moonlight?

    Where are you looking?

Woodbury. I feel like I practically live there now. I use the softball fields for practices, swim in their pool (ok, we snuck in a few times, but otherwise we have friends that live there), use their tennis courts, BBQ at the grills. It's quite nice actually. Total HOA cost = well..does...

    Washer/Dryer repair recommendation

I need a recommendation for a dryer repairman. The dryer still works, however the clothes do not come out fully dry after each cycle. I believe a common maintenance is needed to clean out the dryer duct. Anyone have a recommendation for service in Irvine? TIA.

    Anyone like that GuppyHouse?

Personally I like their beef noodle soup. Although the noodles are the skinny kind and not the fat kind, they are pretty generous with their beef. Yes, the service does suck, as they are mostly teenagers making close to minimum wage there. I heard the owner is a real schiezter who keeps most of...

    Tech Shopping deals...

I picked up a 40'' Samsung 1080p through Amazon today for $839 no tax no ship. It also comes with a free blu-ray player. I know I know, it's not the 120hz, but i have one that i'll be watching sports on, so I think i'll be ok.

    AAdvantage Dining Program

Domestic airlines suck...checked baggage fees and no in-flight service. $10 for a cold cut sandwich!?! Psh, I'd rather travel to Asia and fly Singapore.

Villages of Columbus - Columbus Square - Camden Place

I've heard my neighbor blaring his music, it's rather annoying to only hear the bass. If I'm going to hear music, I'd much rather hear the entire song so I know what he's listening to. Otherwise, it's just tones. Besides foot stomping and bass, I'm pretty happy with the construction of...

    Tech Shopping deals...

Just curious will Best Buy price match the Fry's ads? Say If i print out a fry's 1-day sale ad, will they honor the $899 price for a 46'' LCD Samsung? OR is that why they put "Major brand" in order to eliminate price matching techniques?

    Tech Shopping deals...

What's the best way to keep up with Fry's ads if you don't get the paper? I'm looking to buy a LCD, preferably Samsung, and would love to get a 46'' instead of a 40'' for $899.

How do ethnic buyers have such a large downpayment?

You could also argue that those that immigrated to the US automatically felt like they were already behind, therefore had a different mentality and approach towards a "job" or making a living. They could not apply for the standard job working for "the man" due to educational or language...

How do ethnic buyers have such a large downpayment?

It's a combination of things really. Ethnic buyers will do what many americans will not, work hard and work long. Many have worked their way up to become business owners, and are willing to work 6-7 days a week at 10-14 hours a day. They are relentless savers. They don't splurge on...
