I have been on a quest to find squaw bread as well. Wholesome Choice has it and so does the new Sprout store on Alton.

    preschools in irvine

We had to deal with lots of waiting lists in Irivne - so we enrolled our 2 kids in the Newport Montessori- we couldn't be happier. Very little turnover, excellent, caring staff. We have our eldest in kindergarten, and because we are renting and not planning on buying where we are renting, we...

Fj mercedes was quite empty this week

I have heard from several sources that sales were horrible in August. FJ Mercedes was selling to the tune of 750 cars a month. Last month it was 250. Newport Auto Center sells around 40 a month- they sold 4 cars.

Turtle Rock - last holdout for dropping prices?

There's a home I have been watching 17 Moonray- originally with Hanu Reddy (totally overpriced at over $1.5 million) then there must have been a spat with Hanu because another realtor came in and the price was $1.399 with the new realtor. Yet Hanu still had the listing on homeseekers- so it...

What would you be buying if there were no bubble?

CK- What a great house! I love the backyard. That house is almost a 2004 rollback! I wonder what the story is on that house. The yard is truly amazing! I am like you and spend entirely too much time on redfin, zip realty (although I get tired of the agent emailing me and...

    Irvine is not rich

I consider myself Persian or Iranian- depends on my mood, really. Persian is more about culture. But technically, the country was "Persia" until about 1930, when the first Shah of Iran decided to change the name of the country.

There are plenty of homes that have dropped in price there- some still on the market.

4 Starlight sold and the owners sold for like $1.255 and they bought it for $1.34 million

A couple of homes have played the re-listing game so I don't remember the original prices. But...

Any way you can do a month to month? Our lease ended in May and we asked for a month to month and there was no increase in rent.

Why didn't you buy in 2000-2002?

I lived in a Chicago suburb. My husband and I bought a home in 2001 and then my husband got a job in OC. Sold our house in October 2005- perfect timing, but did not get the price appreciation that people in SoCal did. In Chicago I worked at an investment banking company as a sell-side...

    3000 The Plaza---Good Buy??

I have to agree with Irvine Wanna Be. I have lived in high rises in Chicago and for Chicago- high rises are great. There are places to walk to, etc, but here in Irvine? I think the concept here is silly, jmho.

Do salaries in Irvine or OC make up for the COLA?

I was a sell-side analyst in Chicago and now am on the "buyside". There was a modest increase in salary, but once you factor in higher taxes, it's really pretty much a wash.

When I saw the house it was empty and then saw the listing as "Sold" on that website, so I assumed it sold. Thanks for looking this up!

Turtle Ridge: Looking at the Market Through Rose-Trellised Lenses

I have been a Rose Trellis watcher as well. I believe 34 Rose Trellis was on sale for quite a while and finally sold. However, i don't have access to the sales price. Anyone know what it finally sold for?

Sienna - Yet Another Quail Hill Flop

I went to see the house today- very beautiful home- if not almost a little large. The layout is great- but they messed up by carpeting all the bathrooms!!! YUCK! There were several people in there when I went to see the house- one lady commented that it was "too open" for her and walked right...

Citrus - Corporate Flop in Turtle Ridge

Yesterday my husband and I went with the kids to look at some homes in Turtle Ridge. We didn't see that one- but saw 3 homes in the Ledges all on the same street for sale. We saw 39 Rose Trellis and it was $2.2 million and it was only 2950 sq feet or so. There was noone in the house and it...
