The Fed will cut rates this Tuesday (9/18) and here's why...

Cutting rates is going to do nothing about bringing back products such as Alt/A and Subprime loans. The cut is going to only help those institutions right now that have "pier loans" out there that they cannot find buyers for...ie Chrysler / Cerrebus, KKR / First Data and so on. The...

    If you can't get to www.KHOV.com ...

Why don't some of these subs vertically integrate? In more traditional manufacturing vertical integration is a NO NO!!! However, here it sounds like they would have alot more control over cost and then be able to really stick it to the "builder" or even buy the land out right themselves.

    A 26-Year Old's Perspective

NanoWest / IT Guy, Back home this is what we call buying a house on contract or a version of it. It was practiced regularly in the Midwest b/c people would live in their homes until they died. At that point, and god rest their soles, so the family members were not stuck with the bill...

Uh....lets get this straight. This woman and man never have owned a home, don't make that much money b/w the two of them, and then they get qualified to buy a $415K home...give me a break. I don't feel sorry for them b/c they should have known better. I get sick and tired how...

    T-minus ? until Countrywide goes under.. . .

Optimus....but not like this they are way off their highs and with truely knowing, they will even admit this, what the true liability is on their books make it look like a prime candidate. Plus they are not very well diversified like Lehman and GS.

Effen.....ok so you trade USD for YEN, then go buy US Backed Bonds with short maturities yielding 3.75% or whatever the rate is, when the Bonds are due you collect your yield, and then trade back into USD b/c the dollar has lost more value compared to the YEN?
