    How much does size matter?

IMO 13 year old floorplans don't hold a candle to new design. And if you remod to make it modern, you're in the new/big/expensive price range.  Maybe it's nostalgia, but I think some people actually prefer older design-- reminds them of Duran Duran and Rubik's cubes.  ;)

Thanks. Maybe it's a browser issue, but that's not working for me.

    How much does size matter?

Yeah, I'm with you, but I'm trying not to rehash previous threads debating which would ultimately cost more. Assume equal pricing between options one and two--  all in, after you've spent all you're going to spend on upgrades, repairs, landscaping etc.

How do i post a pic

For the techno-challenged, how do you insert the img? I click on the "insert img" button and get . Do I put a link in the middle? I can only post as an attachment, like so.

    How much does size matter?

The examples contemplated all-in pricing. So, just for example, imagine you could get: New/small for $1.3m, spend $100K on upgrades/landscaping. Old/Big for $1.35M and spend $50K on upgrades/refreshing. New/Big/Expensive for $1.6M with another $100K for upgrades.

I was thinking OH and NP, but was trying not to set off OSguy.  We just got him back.

    How much does size matter?

Here's the qwerty version of the poll: Use your imagination for #4- no one is choosing it anyway.

    How much does size matter?

I'm actually OK with a smaller yard.  But for resale considerations, I'm interested in what others would be willing to pay/sacrifce to get something bigger.

Didn't you post that you "overheard" something at PP park before? #worksforNSA #listeningdevices

What do you consider a big lot for new construction in Irvine?

Fixed that for you. It's heads, builder wins; tails buyer loses. If you get a big lot, you either paid a premium or got a less desirable location. Nothing is free.

What do you consider a big lot for new construction in Irvine?

That's right. People put different value on lot size, but it always costs something.  Money- is a larger lot (from 4k to 6k) worth an extra $200K to you?  "Newness"- you can buy older construction and get a bigger lot. Location- you can select a less desirable location and get a bigger lot.

Great Park: Taylor Morrison - Springhouse

I questioned his whiteness on another thread.  #finalstraw? Someone should start a poll-- what happened to OS?

    Retail Openings and Closures

I have three kids, so waiting in line for any restaurant is a no-go for me.  That's why I always dine with the retirees at 4:30.

Great Park: Taylor Morrison - Springhouse

Totally.  PP envy and ghosts are discussed as serious topics on this site.  BTW, is something up with the K Hov project in PP?  They're the only builder I see listing inventory on redfin etc.

    Retail Openings and Closures

Got a "Coming Soon" Tustin Marketplace flyer that mentioned these restaurants. Bondi Grill House California Gogi Korean Grill Miguel's Jr. TAPS Fish House & Brewery. Not sure why they're putting in another quick mex place in TMP when OTB, El Pollo, Baja Fresh and Rubios seem to already have...

    i HATE my cox bill

Get a wireless multi-funtion printer that prints/scans/faxes. Then, should you ever need to threaten N. Korea, you will have the proper equipment. Seriously though, for $3/mo, Ooma is a great option for people who primarily use cell phone and want to keep a landline just in case.

    i HATE my cox bill

Right, but was cable internet down at the same time? In an emergency that takes out power for a long time your only real option is going to be cell, unless you have a hand crank phone. I'll use my monthly phone bill savings to stock up on zombie apocalypse neccessities: walkie talkie batteries...
