    Woodbury Montessori

Marty, We ended up sending our kids to Spectrum Montessori - our son is in the infant program and daughter is in the primary program.  So far we like the school.  They follow the Montessori method of teaching, more so than my daughter's previous Montessori school.  The teachers are nice, and...

    Woodbury Montessori

The playground looks nice and big.  It's actually less square footage than the school is required to provide per State law for daycare centers, based on the number of students.  However, since not all students will be using the playground at the same time, it's not a big issue. I am curious as...

Yes, you got them right except for the one at Orchard Hills.  That one is LePort.  I like LePort, but it's much more costly than the other schools. The NW Montessori (and the other schools by the 1st "chain") and LePort schools seem to follow the Montessori program more strictly than Irvine...

Yes, it's the one iacrenter mentioned, located on Cartwright. They don't enforce their late pickup rules strictly - I like that aspect since I picked up my daughter late on several occasions and they didn't say a thing.  :)  However, I am not sure that the quality of the teachers is good enough...

My daughter is attending Irvine Montessori right now.  While I like their flexibility in scheduling, we are not crazy about the teachers (she is in the toddler 2 program).  A few good teachers left at the beginning of the school year.  My daughter doesn't seem to acknowledge her current teachers...

    Any opinions on Westpark Montessori?

    Starting daycare...

My 18-month old daughter will be attending Irvine Montessori (located on Cartwright near the airport) in April.  I just saw this discussion board and was wondering if anyone has had experience with this school?  We chose it because they take toddlers under 2, is close to my work, doesn't have a...

Las Ventanas by Taylor Morrison at Portola Springs

The street names at Las Ventanas seem kind of random - Seedling, Jackrabbit, Los Indios and Pawprint.

Has anyone stopped by Sevilla lately?  How are they selling?  What are the prices now?

They opened the landfill by PS right around when the Newport Coast closed in 1990.

OK, let's not focus on the small difference in distance between Stonegate/PS and the landfill.  Still, would you choose to disregard the potential effects on your family's health and live close a landfill? If so, please share your reasoning.  Thanks.

Is anyone here concerned about the landfill nearby?  I measured it from Google Earth today.  It's about 1.5 miles from the landfill, whereas Stonegate is 2 miles.  The minimum safe distance between residences and a landfill is 2 miles, from what I've read on the web.  What are your thoughts on this?

Stonegate information page is now up with 4 new neighborhoods!

The Maricopa price sheet shows base price of $785K for Plan 1, $865K for Plan 2 and $965K for Plan 3.  Phase 1 homes start at around $804,500.

    Sevilla at Portola Springs

I asked the sales lady at Sevilla about the broker co-op.  She said the agent must accompany us on our first visit (even though we didn't register when we were there).  Is this true?

Does anyone know if they have released Phase 2, and if so, how well are the homes selling?  We are interested in Plan 3.  I think it might be the popular plan out of the 3 plans they offer.

Btw, if you decide to buy a new home....find yourself a good realtor and have them agree to split the broker co-op with you.  No sense in leaving free money on the table.  ;) Can we still use a realtor after already visiting the model home without one?  I saw that the Montecito Plan 1 house we...
