Why you shouldn't buy a home in Irvine

Since I do the majority of my driving in Irvine, I only notice the Asian and Persian 16-22 y/o crazy drivers.  They're insane.  That's why it's best to move to an area where you don't have parents who buy their teenagers $65,000 - $120,000  new cars.

    Cypress Village East Master Thread

I don't think it's a question of need but of the state forcing them to build more apartments.  As for the Irvine Company's cash flow, it seems like they have been trying to branch out into Silicon Valley and San Diego.  I also just read this weekend that they are taking over the Hyatt in...

Why you shouldn't buy a home in Irvine

I really get irritated with the slow poke drivers but at least they don't run red lights or slam into me when traffic is obviously stopped. One on the main reasons not to buy in Irvine is that it no longer the FCB who once dominated the market, but their offspring who feel the need to...

Why you shouldn't buy a home in Irvine

I've lived in Irvine for much of my driving life and I've never been in any kind of accident or fender bender here.  The only two times I've ever been hit were both in Redondo Beach and the driver wasn't even Asian (or white).

Friday Boredom - Your Pet Peeves

People who can't figure out that Culver has two exit lanes on the 405 south.  Pay attention or learn to drive.  Don't wait until you're about to hit a tree before you decide you want to stay on the freeway. People who enter the 405 south from Culver at 5 miles an hour when traffic is going 60+...

Friday Boredom - Your Pet Peeves

Friday pet peeve:  cashiers who ask if you want your receipt after it's already printed and they're holding it in their hand.  I can understand cash only mom and pop places not wanting to give you a receipt, but I don't understand why chain stores train their minimum wage disciples not give...

Why does Irvine demand such a premium?

I so wanted to post this weekend.  The obnoxious tree trimming buzzers were going all day Saturday and even Sunday morning.

Why you shouldn't buy a home in Irvine

All non-Irvine Company shopping centers are horribly designed and dirty.  The city should not let any other developers or property managers ruin the pristine pleasantness of the perfectly planned community.

    Obamacare

Why would a senior need Obama care if they have Medicare?  I wonder if Medicare pays for birth control.

Why does Irvine demand such a premium?

I remember walking around Berkeley towards the more dumpy areas.  Most of the houses were filled with native landscaping / weeds in front.  There is no way you would hear lawn mowers and leaf blowers polluting the harmony of the neighborhood every single day.

Why does Irvine demand such a premium?

I don't know about that.  If there wasn't so much green space and trees then I think it would be so much more quiet.

Why does Irvine demand such a premium?

It's such a noisy city.  I really don't know what's worse.  The sound of gunfire or leaf blowers and lawnmowers.

More girls born in Irvine than boys?

Maybe Irvine has become the next China and no one has realized it yet.

    Kobe's house for sale?

Good for him.  I'm glad someone besides the FCBers is keeping the OC housing market afloat.

    Kobe's house for sale?

I thought Kobe owned about 20 houses in Newport.  One for him.  One for his wife.  One for his mistress.  One for the mother of his wife.  One for the mother of his mistress.  One for investment.  One for one kid.  One for another kid. One because he lost track of how many women he had to buy...

More girls born in Irvine than boys?

I think it has to do with the chemicals in the water and the hormones in the chickens that expectant mothers consume.

    Irvine no longer safest city

I've also noticed an influx of people walking throughout the city.  It seems strange.  I thought walking was illegal unless you're exercising or walking your dog.

Awful Experience at Colibri, Portola Springs

That's because the recyclables are saved for the whites who take the cans to the back of the Ranch 99 store.

Awful Experience at Colibri, Portola Springs

I hear people complaining about the Chinese buying houses so their children can attend school here (while they stay in China), but I don't see why.  Years ago I lived next to a house that was filled with Taiwanese high school and college students, no parents.  They were great neighbors, always...
