    coronavirus

Isn't this in line with expectations?  95% of deaths are in old people, who are highly vaccinated, but most of these deaths are due to cancer/coronary/etc, not covid. So you are just saying "old people die"...what a surprise "Fully Vaccinated now account for 9 in every 10 Covid-19 Deaths in...

    INFLATION IS OUR FRIEND

I-Bonds...a great place for idle cash

They are only an inflation hedge right now, since they have no base rate. I wonder if they will return to having a base rate, like the old days, if the FED increase the prime rate?

    Asbestos in old homes

Isn't it the opposite?  many 50s-70s houses have aluminum wiring, which is subject to oxidation, and might need to be replaced with copper? I've never heard about anyone replacing copper, unless it was super old with bad insulation or knob-and-tube. Thanks for any clarification!

    Breaking a lease

If you don't have a legal justification to break your lease, the good news is that you might still be off the hook for paying all the rent due for the remaining lease term. This is because under California law (Cal. Civ. Code ? 1951.2), your landlord must make reasonable efforts to re-rent your...

    Breaking a lease

Don't landlords have an affirmative obligation to mitigate any losses by renting as soon as a replacement tenant can be moved in? I think in the current rental market that any tenant lawyer could get any loss of more than one month tossed by a judge in a quick second.

    coronavirus

I can't believe that I'm partially agreeing with the purple poster...at least about letting them cull themselves. The problem is that they still want to use up the hospital resources once they are ill, jeopardizing the rest of us if we happen to get in a car accident or have a health...

    FDA Advisory Panel

'natural immunity' from infection appears to be relatively short-lived in adults, and is greatly aided by a 'booster' of the vaccines. its not clear yet that the same holds in kids (but likely) and so the risk of re-infection after six months is high again.  so in my estimation, risks of...
