nono, like... for me third culture is when ur born here but "raised" in a foreign country... has nothing to do with generation... for example like u could be generation 8 and u go to india to work and ur kids grow up their, technically they are generation 9 cause theyre expected to "go back...

I think its the Same reason as why ppl wanted to learn Japanese b4, it's back to the guarantee of opening doors or opportunity... If chinas economy wasn't so big I doubt anybody would be interested, but they are, so its guaranteed some opportunities will be open to u once u learn the language...
