thought of a random question related to 4k... anybody with a 4k tv tried streaming movies? im interested to see how well set top boxes (apple tv, amazon fire tv, roku) stream 4k content, since i kinda rely on my amazon fire tv :)...

been living in a new IP property for the past year n half... i think i only noticed 1 very very minor nail pop (if u dont really look at it, u wont notice it)... my unit got rained on for 2-3 days during construction so i was pretty worried, but luckily, so far the only issues are minor hairline...

ITS A TRAP!! lol... dont buy from these mass retailers... u can get better resolution machines for a lot cheaper else where... right now, even these mass retailer ones (dremel from homedepot, makerbots from staples) still require a lot of tender loving care + troubleshooting when things go...

update- been playing around with the firetv a bit more (seems more and more to me as just a better version of the xiao-mi box)... i been able to sideload almost all the android apps that are on the xiao mi box and they run on the firetv just as well (just not officially supported on the firetv...

was arnd 3k... resins about a hundred bucks per liter... took some evening classes on 3D printing at IVC, mostly printed parts for a architectural model... but since class ended, right now ive been printing some toys for my nephew to get a feel of the printer/resins ability to handle draft...

any 3D printer folks out there? got myself an SLA (pegasus touch) n been having tons of fun lol... wondering if there are other folks out there that enjoys 3D printing as a hobby :)

oh n dont buy the firetv msrp... it constantly goes on sale every few months (both the stick n regular firetv)... so just wait... just check amazon, bestbuy, or staples every now n then (or slickdeals... someones bound to post)...

i have the regular amazon firetv and i love it... according to the specs its supposed to have all the same hardware as the firetv stick but i still feel the stick is a bit laggy n the regular firetv is much smoother... but both gets the job done pretty well if ur looking for a set top box...

i looked into 4k tvs too, but after asking arnd my friends who work for the big telecoms... below is my conclusion... if u need a tv now, or if its a status thing, go for it, its a decent deal if u can wait for another 1-2 years then wait... u wont be using much of ur tvs 4k capabilities much...

why is it ridiculous?... u bought in the first few phases... then if u KNEW u wanted welcoming neighbors, then u should have waited a few phases then n see who buys... whyd u rush if this was ur priority?... also just scrolling through the older posts on this forum as well as the old OC real...
