    Countdown for in-person schooling

I think in my follow-up post I specifically mentioned, the one unknown is LT effects. No one knows what the LT effects are with COVID because all we have is short-term data. We have known about the damage it does to some in the organs, most notably the heart and need to understand what that...

    Countdown for in-person schooling

You clearly don't read my posts - because I touted the efficacy of masks throughout this forum and the importance of shutdowns. So just stop it.  I have also statistically pointed out that this is far worse than the flu in many multiples of my posts on this site.  I happen to think eyephone is...

    Countdown for in-person schooling

You are talking about some people being infected. I am talking about health. If everyone in our population responded to the virus like an elementary aged children, we would not have shut down the country and we would not be talking about COVID (at least not to this extent). You need to re-read...

    Countdown for in-person schooling

Yes - I do believe the data would back up the fact that it is extremely safe for elementary school aged children.  Note, I am ignoring the teachers who are impacted and other secondary impacts (i.e., child infecting their parents, grandparents and others).  But for the elementary age children...

    Countdown for in-person schooling

For the elementary school students - it is likely extremely safe. For the teachers, obviously a bit more risk. But you also can't ignore the impact LT at home school with more limited peer interactions, etc, has on children.  But everyone obviously has different degrees of risk tolerance, etc. ...

    Countdown for in-person schooling

The one fundamental question at hand is, is it better to get exposed to a lot of people for very short amounts of time or the same set of people for extended amounts of time.  I don't know the answer to that - but I think the reason why infections are high in places like restaurants is you are...

    Airstream Trailer parking

Call me someone who likes HOA's cause I don't want an RV or a trailer sitting in my neighborhood for the whole year (not in a neighborhood that you bought knowing that it wouldn't happen). If you want to house your RV, go buy a home in an area that allows it. North Tustin has some amazing homes...

    Stock picks

5yrs from now - they will be fly and riding new highs - to your point, they have a very bumpy road until they get there and there will likely be a lot of volatility along the journey.

    Elderberry should I a buy?

What is the price - is it on a premium, lot, etc.  Maybe someone on TI would be interested and a swap out makes it simpler for KB. Always amazes me builders play such hard ball in this situations. I get it - contract provides for flexibility in production delays - at the same time, i always...

How low can we go? 30 yr fixed at 3.75% with no fees...

They did it pretty quick, but I think I made 1 or 2 payments through owning (can't fully remember).

Amazon Grocery Store coming to Irvine

I don't see why COVID would impact Amazon moving there - they haven't seen cash flows challenged and probably would benefit from enhancing their distribution in the area (more deliveries) - which has only increased anyway during COVID.

    Parasol Park

How does this differ from all of the other ones that I regularly see between $1.1 & $1.3B - all 3 stories, minimal backyard, but generally around 3K feet?  I can't keep straight all of the different 3 story units at GP these days.  I have from time to time wondered if the rooftop is actually...

    Distance learning?

If I were in charge, all teaching would be done outdoors in California (for in-person).  Use the various grass fields and black-top, etc. Invest in a bunch of those shade tents and go with it. Reduce class sizes, so adjusted schedule, but outdoors is way safer for everyone involved. On super...

    coronavirus

The scarier part about reinfection rates is that there is early data starting to show up that the 2nd time you get it, you actually get it worse.

    coronavirus

It is also like 3-4 times more cases than all of Germany gets per day.

How low can we go? 30 yr fixed at 3.75% with no fees...

The only downfall with owning is they recently extended that you can't do another refi with them for 12 months (it used to be 6). I thought I was going to be able to refi again when rates dropped from what I did earlier in the year, but wasn't able to.  I still think we will see 15 hit a floor...

    Distance learning?

This is really good and aligned a lot with the research I did before opting to send my kids for the next month (but I'd be 1st to admit the last week got me more nervous with the community levels increasing).  I'm curious to see how things trend in the next 1-2 weeks in OC. Today was really bad...

    Distance learning?

A challenge is Florida & Texas are both seeing upticks in their child daycare facilities (which has me nervous). I think non US data isn't super helpful since everywhere else has stopped the spread of this better than we have.  It is dissapointing the CDC hasn't spent more time looking into...
