Size of grout lines for bathroom/shower tiles

Definitely recommend the niches and bench in the shower. Epoxy grout is much more stain resistant, but is more expensive and tougher to install.

    Shower Systems Question

I tend to take longer showers, and without the flow restrictors on my shower heads I'm still in the conservation base rate.  So my guess is a few (<$10) extra bucks a month.  With a higher flow rate you'll probably spend less time in the shower, since it will take less time to rinse out the suds...

    Shower Systems Question

I did the same thing to my showers recently.  I think all the current shower heads and handheld showers will have the flow restrictor installed.  As for the diverter, it should have a removable plastic insert that prevents both outlets from turning on at the same time.  So, just install...

    Where to buy furniture?

Pacific Sales has been holding an unadvertised fire sale in their home theater department for the past month or so.  All they have left in the Irvine store now are some TV wall mounts and AV stands and racks, all for 90% off retail.  So, might be worth a lookie loo if you want to upgrade or...

Grrrrrr.. somebody or something swiped my packages!

This is what you should do: put lots of poop in a package and leave it out front.  Cheaper than a gps tracking device/camera.

    Rain gutters

Hey SoCal, I used Above and Beyond Rain Gutters (http://www.abovebeyondraingutters.com/) for my gutters a few years ago.  They did a very good job and I would recommend them! You will probably end up getting 4 or 5" aluminum gutters, since they are the most common and come in many colors.

    reflection from windows kill plants

A friend of mine has a similar problem - the sun reflection off windows melts some of the artificial turf, so it looks a bit like crop circles/lines. All I can think of as a possible solution is applying some kind of window film to try to diffuse the reflected rays.  Home Depot sells many types...

    Ants Anyone?

You can try using diatomaceous earth: http://www.lowes.com/pd_93648-316-HG-93186___?productId=3276739&pl=1&Ntt=diatomaceous Been using Terro for ants, and it's pretty effective, but I'm thinking of getting the DE to use on my fruit trees for other bugs.  So I'll use some to see if it works on...
