Experiences with Zillow Offers / Redfin Now / Opendoor?

Unless you need to liquidate your property quickly, Zillow offers is not a good deal.  I suspect that goes for the rest of the companies as well.

I got lucky with the rate.  They immediately raised it to 2.25% within 24 hours of me locking in the 1.99%.  I believe they referred to some raising of conforming rates due to a Fannie Mae mandate.

If you're risk averse or feel income won't be consistent in the long term, then paying off your home faster gives you some peace of mind.  Being FORCED to do it is a different mindset than paying off your 30-yr loan twice as fast.  The better interest rate is of course the other benefit.

Just refi'd for the 2nd time this year.  15 yr fixed - 1.99% APR, 45% LTV conforming loan with Interactive Mortgage.  Loan just funded.  I'm going to guess I'm now done with the refi game.

    Countdown for in-person schooling

There will always be drunk driving fatalities unfortunately.  We don't close roads, do we? There will be more COVID deaths for the 'at-risk' population.  We don't need to shut down the country or severely alter our life because of it.  There is too much being done to protect the smaller...

    Countdown for in-person schooling

I think the 'at-risk' population needs to stay safe without negatively impacting everybody else.  That might sound harsh or callous, but the fact is there are a LOT of measures being taken to accommodate a small % of the population. That's not sustainable.  Imagine banning all nut-based...

    Apple Updates for September 2020

Come on now.  Tim Apple hasn't done that bad of a job.  The stock price has gone from 13.44 to 115.54 since he took over in 2011.  Not too shabby.

    Stock picks

But Kodak is not a good representation of the market.  Neither is the DJIA.  The S&P 500 is flawed due to the concentration of a select few of those 500 companies having the lion's share of the influence on the index value.  The Russell 2000 is probably a better measuring stick and is actually...
