I agree about API scores and school district. But, it's not the MAIN factor involved in a student's success.  I'm pretty sure that to an Irvine family (or anywhere for that matter) with kids who are not on ANY scholarship would see things differently.

Okay, the student COULD have gotten to Harvard/Stanford on a full scholarship had the family lived in Irvine.  DePaul is still a good university and only a handful get full scholarship.  Gotta give credit when credit is due.

I believe the Mello Roos discussion is about Foothill Ranch's existing Mello Roos which the city has the option to stop since they have a surplus of funds.

You may be right about Foothill Ranch Elementary's expansion.  It will depend on how many students will be added by the Baker Ranch development.  I believe the city will continue with the bond to make sure there will be enough funds for infrastructure support/improvement.  It would be hard for...
