    Presidential Elections

??? He imported from China before. He doesn't do it now, but his competition still does. If there's a 60% tariffs on China, his competition is the one paying for it. As a result, his competition has to pass it to the consumer. And zubs can then increase his price by 50%, which is still 10% less...

MAGAs don't use logic. That's why they vote for Trump.

    Presidential Elections

This is what Trumpers don't understand.

    Presidential Elections

Are Trumpers so ignorant that they don't know that tariffs is basically a form of tax for American consumers? It's NOT China paying for it, it's American consumers paying for it.

Cal Pac did for Azul (2/1 points buy down), but Shea did not do that for Cielo and neither did The New Home Company for Olivewood.

    Dodgers!

Wow...can't believe the Dodgers shut out the Padres for 24 straight innings, going to back that disastrous 2nd inning of game 3.

I just hope Darvis puts up a stinker like he did for the Dodgers against the Astros in 2017.

Agreed that Cielo/Ravello are superior to Olivewood/Azul. The only thing Olivewood has over Cielo and Azul is its location. I was on priority list for all three communities and was offered Olivewood Plan 3 at phase 1, but I just couldn't get over its 3800 sf lot size. 😂 I was also offered...

Well, lot 86 seems like a bargain compared to that Olivewood home. 😂

Yeah. Cielo Plan 1 with 5100+ sf lot is priced at $2.9M. Lot 86 was priced at $3.25M because it has a $300k lot premium due to being more than 6000 sf lot.

I don't even know if they even submitted architectural review since the landscapers started working as soon as they closed escrow.

I agree, which is why I thought it was hilarious that the Olivewood home was considered "reasonably" priced when these are better priced, but still overpriced.

Supposedly, you can paint it white if your stucco color is white. Basically, it's allowed as long as it matches your stucco color. But the 111 Orbit shouldn't be allowed since it doesn't match the stucco color.

Irvine to Santa Clarita - Looking for Insights

Just a note, home value has absolutely nothing to do with insurance premium. It's the replacement costs that determine the premium. Basically, a 2600 sf home in Irvine would cost less than a 3300 sf home in Riverside, for example. Before I moved to Irvine, the premium for my 3309 sf home in...

Also, if we're talking about completely new construction, Shea just released phase 14 and their Plan 1: Lot 86 (138 Drumbeat), 3225 sf home on a 6109 sf lot: $3,254,100. We're talking about roughly same size home (except Cielo Plan 1 has high ceiling on top of that), but 6109 sf lot vs 3825 sf...

Thinking of buying in Portola Springs. Few questions…

Stop spreading misinformation about the landfill smell in PS. The smell blows toward Eastwood and Stonegate, not PS. The Santa Ana wind blows west and southwest and PS is mostly south (and even southeast) of the landfill.

A couple of things to consider. Living there and sending kids to school there is a bit different. For families with kids in K-8 school age, this should not a present a problem...yet. By the time their kids go to Portola High, the toxic soil may no longer be a problem. For us, buying in PS is...

I pointed that out. They'll be using $1400-$1600/sf, which comes out to about $7.5M to $8M. There's no way they can do close to a $10M comp, though.
