I’m not white either - don’t be limited by ethnicity

Best and Worst Cities for Singles in 2025

The best place to be young and single are the LA South Bay beach cities - more gentrified that the late 80s/early 90s when I roamed The Strand but still packed with bars/restaurants and the pickup volleyball scene. We’d play hoops on the weekends mornings (and many weekday evenings ) then hit...

Best and Worst Cities for Singles in 2025

ATL is mostly African American and the majority of African American children come from single parent homes - hence lots of singles in ATL

    Apolitical discussion (impossible?)

    1. Place 100% tariffs on all purchasers of Russian oil to force them to come to the negotiating table and give Ukraine the green light to hit central Moscow with long range missiles 2. Cut off all aid to Egypt and Jordan and drill baby drill like no tomorrow to tank oil prices to force them and...

Where people are moving to and which states you have to make the most money to live in

You conveniently left out the lack of freeway access and horrendous traffic on the major roads that must be navigated to get to the freeway and rush hour that lasts from 6am-8pm. And horrid humid summers with tons of mosquitoes. No one who has the means would choose JC over South OC or Silicon...

Where people are moving to and which states you have to make the most money to live in

D Dude - GA gets freezing rain, humidity and bugs. You can rationalize it all you want but quality of life is vastly inferior to coastal CA, especially South OC or North SD County, and as ThirtySomething said it’s a 1 hr flight or 7 hr drive to sick paying jobs in SV.

    Newport Beach inventory

I advised a friend who lives in the Port Streets against stretching to buy a new pad in Shorecliffs. He thinks Newport prices will never come down which is a prime sign of a bubble of ignorance about real estate fundamentals. Your clients will eventually land a good deal.

Where people are moving to and which states you have to make the most money to live in

Georgia is more affordable but the weather sucks and job market pays half what Silicon Valley pays with 1% of the jobs. Lots of G Tech alumni in San Jose/Silicon Valley.

    Newport Beach inventory

Inventory is higher in Newport than in Irvine with a lower population. Any house that sits longer than 10 days is priced too high and won’t get a full price offer. Nothing newer than 2 weeks old in Newport. Reality is FCBs want Irvine, not the renovated Port Steets houses built in 1971 with all...

    Newport Beach inventory

The most recent listings are still 14 days old and with 154 houses (ex-condos) for sale simple analytics can tell you price reductions are coming and planned for ROI is cratering

Life Time Fitness in Irvine, California

Pull ups are the center of my fitness regime. I do -100/week. Upper body has never been stronger. I do leg press with 3 plates for lower body 2X/week and ab roller sets of 30 for core. Run 2-5 mi/week on treadmill and do 2-3 20 minute sauna sessions. I meditate in the sauna. I prefer mornings.

Pacific Palisades wildfire in Los Angeles

I’m already seeing Laguna Niguel rents jump which makes sense as it’s the most appealing and white South OC town with immaculate infrastructure

    ICE or EV?

It wasn’t just west of Lake (the more “working class” area of Alt) that burned but also areas like where a high school friend and her NFL HOF Dad’s old house was or up in Kinneloa Estates.

Life Time Fitness in Irvine, California

This was built in the 90s - Sporting Club at Lakeshore Towers. I was a member until we moved to the east coast for my job. Best gym ever. Great memories of evenings spent playing really competitive hoops there.

Pacific Palisades wildfire in Los Angeles

Flew in yesterday from SJC as SNA had an alert - easiest I’ve ever navigated LAX, and with a 1pm arrival no traffic and 1 hour down to South OC
