    Jing's Kitchen (Irvine)

https://www.yelp.com/biz/jings-kitchen-irvine Bookmarked this place to try ever since seeing them on Yelp.  Food looks like what my grandmother use to cook when I was younger.  Shanghainese style, lots of stews, marinades, stir fry.... Made the mistake of showing up before closing...

    New Korean BBQ place

I wonder if they had to tear it down to studs a second time and start over, or maybe the rain messed things up.  They better do this right from the get go, that's a lot of money for kbbq

    Unlimited Wireless Plans

I'm tempted by t mobile, but hear coverage indoors can be an issue, my wife's coworkers claim it does not have good reception at work.  But we never tried ourselves.  Will probably save about $50 a month over our current att plan, not counting any new promos, or free phones.

Rate the last movie you saw...

Train to Busan 7/10 I'm not a fan of K-cinema, usually have weird endings that make me feel like throwing up but a zombie flick is a perfect match for demented Korean movie tastes.  Like snakes on a plane, except zombies on a train.  And these are the fast zombies like 28 days or WWZ.

Fecal transplant shows early promise against autism

    Irvine boy killed crossing street

I see kids riding on the sidewalk near my neighborhood, which is fine but they're on the wrong side of the road, against traffic.  Drivers pulling out of entrances don't see them, I know, because I almost hit one.

Ootoro Sushi (Walnut/Irvine) Stay away IHO and Socal

Foie gras with toro steak, small for $28, we split it, so it was a $14 30 sec bite of two very rich ingredients.  It was ok. Glad we did lunch first instead of the Uber expensive dinner omakase.  Probably won't be back for awhile.  Unless someone else is treating..

Ootoro Sushi (Walnut/Irvine) Stay away IHO and Socal

Premium chirashi for  $40, extra toro, sweet shrimp, uni and some white fish.  Not worth it in my opinion, toro was stringy and the tuna looks smaller than the reg. Chirashi.  Shrimp head can be fried but you lose the miso soup, wtf?

Ootoro Sushi (Walnut/Irvine) Stay away IHO and Socal

Reg. Chirashi for $18.  It was ok, comes with miso soup.  All the pieces tasted fine and fresh of course.  Not sure why the tuna looks jagged edged, maybe got the apprentice sushi chef

    Sneakers

White Kobe A.D.'s available tomorrow, $160 a pair.  Don't need it, don't play basketball anymore, but love low profile shoes in white.  I'll look good on the elliptical with these :)

Eastwood Village - what's the consensus today?

As I recall with the original Eastwood plans, the most vocal folks against the development were those mobile home folks.  It's seniors only, so no kids to spoil your mainland filled Eastwood elementary.  If I was living in the trailers, I would be pissed too..  looking at your pretty lit up...
