How come UCLA does not offer an undergraduate business degree?

Yes, I would send them to Michigan for a business degree. It would be akin to sending them to USC so I would not have an issue with that. With that said; if they were getting mediocre grades at USC or Michigan I would pulll them out and have them transfer to a state school in CA. Going to a top...

How come UCLA does not offer an undergraduate business degree?

Not sure if you guys know how the big 4 accounting firms work, regional recruiting is very important as the top 10 accounting schools don’t provide anywhere near the quantity of employees needed on a national basis for the firms as a whole for a new starting class every year. The firms have a...

How come UCLA does not offer an undergraduate business degree?

Panda - my kids wills not be getting any financial aid. We make too much money so that is certain. It depends on the major. For either kid, I would pay a private school tuition if it was a very good/elite private school AND it was major that could generate a very good income (computer science...

How come UCLA does not offer an undergraduate business degree?

UCLA is a feeder school to the big 4 accounting firms in the LA area and they don’t have an accounting school. I always thought that was odd as well. That is why USC is better school. They not only have a business school, but they have an accounting school :)

    INFLATION IS OUR FRIEND

People have limits as to what they are willing to pay for restaurant food. As we all know, politicians generally are not business people and cater to buying votes. Idiots.

Calo at south coast plaza has fried ice cream and it’s ambience is Javier-ish - upscale Mexican The first pic on Yelp is actually the fried ice cream. My wife like the food, I thought it was average. But we have only gone once. https://yelp.to/MSRpK1NDHv

Olivewood at Portola Springs by New Home Co.

There have been some cases covered in the national media where the parents who were attending the wrong school district had to pay the school district the amount the school was receiving per student. If I remember correctly it was between 15-20k. It was essentially making it like a private...

    Taco Tuesday

The $3 Taco Bell menu is pretty good. The double stacked taco is very tasty. Their other items come standard with chicken bit you can swap it out for ground beef. They had some milkshakes as a test item recently at the one on barranca and were pretty tasty. They will be rolling those out...

That will actually be an option for them because of what we will leave behind for them. I don’t want them to know that yet because I want them to have that drive and sense of urgency. Once a generation is successful the next generation tends to be less successful (maybe motivated is a better...

Heart of Parenting, Marriage, and Family

It sounds like you already did :-) I remind my kids all the time that life is not all shits and giggles. That most of their life they are going to have to do things they don’t want to do. From a career perspective I tell them that there are generally two paths, they can work hard and make a lot...
