The Stand: decent

Hopdoddy: decent

In and out: despite recent price increases, the double double is still a good deal

Shake shack: ok

Habit (on Culver): skip and proceed to in and out

Not burger - Pacific catch: more expensive than you might think. Urban plates is cheaper.

I liked The Cut on Alton/Culver. A little pricey though, but what isn’t these days. Best hamburger I had in Irvine was at Houstons, but that was before COVID. I think it was $20 then (or maybe $15). I can’t imagine what it costs now.

Unpopular opinion: Crinkle fries at Shake Shack are better than In&Out.

I used to think Shake Shack was overpriced but their app specials and free chicken Sundays make it pretty reasonable.

I miss The Counter at Woodbury. Fashion Island location also closed. Nearest one is in Ladera Ranch.

Not sure this is an unpopular opinion. In n out fries are just middle of the road. I agree the crinkles at shake shack are much better. Still nothing beats Red Robin steak fries :-)

The good thing about that is it discourages me from getting them so I add another patty instead - 3x3 mustard grilled protein style 1 cheese extra tomato

Five Guys good too! Not sure why they don't have any in Irvine!
