IRS/Treasury finalizes IRA credit ruling that restricts eligible EV/PHEV vehicles even more so... even for vehicles domestically built here.

If I have cheaper infrastructure offshore, maybe I just keep building my EVs there instead of incurring more cost building factories in the US. And then just charge less by $3750/$7500. :)

Is the M3 not the last Tesla to retain the full federal tax credit as well. Business must be real slow on these.

M3 tax credit went from $7,500 to $3,750 yesterday.

Have you seen the Project Highland (new M3) partial reveal? Looks like a mini-roadster, really cool. If I was in the market for a new M3 I'd definitely wait for that one.

Actually, M3 base model goes from $7,500 to $3,750 due to LFP battery.

On the other hand, M3 LR and all MY models retain the full $7,500 credit.

Demand is waning or production lines are improving.

You can order a Lightning XLT and get it in 4 months.

You can go to the Normal, IL Rivian factory and get an R1T truck the same day.

Now what about that CyberTruck?

The Super Unicorn is coming!

What was the source for that Cybertruck image?

I'm super curious about what materials/processes Toyota has stumbled upon regarding SS battery tech. If true, then expansion of hyper-mining Lithium has a visible sunset ahead.

Knowing Toyota, it might still have some lithium in it.

Hopefully high volume production costs of graphene come down as that is one of those miracle materials science has been touting.

Nio is going to use a solid state battery that can give 600 mile range. Technology just keeps getting better.
That 150 kWh battery weighs in at only 575KG, about 50% more than my Chevy bolt battery but packing 2.5x kWh. Even with the added weight, probably push me 400 miles at free range highway speeds with the AC blasting.
