Exterior sun shades

Has anyone installed something similar to the photo below? We have light diffusing roller blinds inside and are beautiful, but cause a glare on our TV and still let's in a lot of heat. Hoping to get exterior roller shades to help with heat and glare inside. I attached a photo of my windows as well.

Does HOA typically need to approve if it's in the backyard (but still semi-visible from the street)?

Any photos of examples from your homes?

Vendor recommendations?

Advice?

Thanks!

Supposedly, any change to the exterior of the house needs ARC approval from HOA. But I bet many people wouldn't seek HOA approval if it's not visible to HOA inspectors.

Those external shades are super ghetto. We recently evaluated all the blind options and decided the cheapest option of wood blinds worked the best. I was blown away how much more expensive the Hunter Douglas motorized blinds are and they are less efficacious.

Super ghetto? That's truly judgemental and not what I was seeking in my initial post. I'm not looking into changing in interior window coverings.
