    Freeway Hazards

On my way to the LB airport in the wee hours of the (still dark) morning, I nearly missed an appliance (stove? washing machine?) in the middle of the offramp. It made flying a little less nerve-wracking. ETA: I also try to leave a large gap between myself and the next car, but of course this...

Have you read any good books lately?

I'm currently reading Methland by Nick Reding. So far, I'm enjoying it.

Chino - Stanford Square at College Park

Not sure about Horton - I only know of one development in that area by that builder, but I just know what's on the surface. I'm biased, of course, but I'm not sure I agree that the smell is what keeps prices down. Like I said, unless it's a damp morning, long-term residents don't really notice...

True, that it's not the "OC lifestyle", but its a way of life for many people who live out there. Either you're comfortable with it, or you're not. Chino - Stanford Square at College Park

Though I didn't go to jr high at either Woodcrest or Magnolia, I went to HS with many who went to one or the other, and it seemed like Magnolia always came out on top. Of course, I was hanging out with the band nerds and Magnolia's band was definitely superior to Woodcrest's. Still, even in...

Have you read any good books lately?

I'll be looking into those. The Gregory books piqued my interest in the Tudor family, but it would be nice to read a series that I didn't feel compelled to hide from my book club :) Not that there's anything wrong with them, or Maeve Binchey, for that matter... but still.

Have you read any good books lately?

Is that the Philippa Gregory series? Those are fun reads. Thanks for the other recommendations :) Just recently finished A Thousand Splendid Suns and Flash Forward. Picked up the latter when I saw the preview for the series coming out this Fall on ABC. The concept was cool, the book, meh - I...
