Having a rental property in a desirable city like Irvine is great. There are detached 4bed 4 bath condos in portola springs. Look at sales past 6 months for detached condos in that area to get an idea of the floor plans to see if they work for you. I would say keep the rental if you can.

Between Irvine blvd and Portola pkwy is a good location! No doubt. I saw a house couple of months back on Pawprint which backed into Portola Pkwy and the backyard was super noisy but location was great.  My point was that it is far from the center of Irvine and the last community before entering...

Orchard hills is atleast central. PS is far from everything. If you value being in the outskirts of Irvine then PS is the option.

Dare I say rip off  ;)  Maybe IP is planning to farm the land with orange and avocado trees around highland and call it Highland Orchards.  :D

You might be onto something here  :) Also the definition of ?being close to nature? is different for folks?lakes, rivers and lush forest vs predators. I think they should be around $1.1M max considering everything.

Thanks. You are right about Como. I know about it and found it hilarious how the floor plans and elevations were similar. Eastwood Fresco pricing is around $1.6ish as well. A part of me thinks none of these homes are worth so much. You will get fantastic resales  with bigger lots and much more...

Congrats to those who got into highland?s current phase. Looks like IP increased the price by $100K compared to prior phases (attached). Apparently I was way down the ?priority list? so the three lots were sold out even before they could communicate the lots to me. I don?t know what?s worse...

I am on the priority list as well on Highland but didn't get communicated on any available lots. I called last week and they said it will take another 4-6 weeks for the next Phase. I am not sure what sort of process the highland sales folks are following but definitely seems like YMMV
