    This blog seems to the only sane voice in Irvine, thanks for the service. Are REO's more or less in irvine as compared to the rest of OC, i see very few REO's on redfin. Do you think that the drop in the median for the rest of OC is higher than Irvine and how long will it stay skewed? Well...

    Interesting...i did not expect Irvine to have this level of pent up demand. A tepid demand would have helped reduce the over all prices.

    Well written...why Housing won't bottom

    Peabody, of the independent research firm Portales Partners, told Reuters by phone on Friday that the California's battered homes market may be hitting bottom, suggesting a national housing recovery may follow... i guess we should buy tomorrow or get priced out forever again :)...

    Thanks Irvine Realtor, this is good stuff. It lends credence to the reasoning that there are people with cash waiting on the sidelines. It will be interesting to see how this affects the overall downward trend in Irvine.

    IAC Raising Lease Break Fee

    IAC increased my rent by 2%, i got the lease papers today and i they increased my lease break to 3500, said its company policy now. Any suggestions on reducing this, are there any rules/laws on setting the lease break agreement. 3500 is just too much in todays uncertain environment.

    Will Barack Obama be our next President?

    Looks like Obama will win. He seems to be a genuine person. My main concern is that if a person with 2-3 years of legislative experience becomes the president, he will depend on his advisors for most decisions. I just hope he chooses them well. I always thought that Bush was a straightforward...

    IPO, Thanks for listing the price on coromande (and santa monica), i was expecting that it would sell at 670k, sold at 700 instead. A nice house on Kimball fell out of escrow again(its the second or 3rd time), I dont understand why realtors/sellers dont insist on preapproved offers. Mike
