Bike Riding Event

I did that one a few years ago. Its a nice ride--it feels great once you get up and over the hill and start the cruise into the finish. Enjoy!

    Kazak needs help!

It seems like a seriously bad idea for Kazak to put his money in his brother's house. Where will Kazak get money to eventually buy his own house? Will he make his brother move so he can get his money out of the house? How will brother and mother feel about that?

If he cannot...

    "Just walking away"

Having no actual knowledge...I would guess the tipping point on a non-recourse is when you are in default, have no intention to repay and give up possession of the house.

I wonder though, since you have to give back the house, shouldn't that reduce the amount of debt forgiven...

    Portola Springs - Paloma

Thanks for the update irvinesinglemom. We looked at these a few months ago, and they were trying to move a plan one. If I recall, it was listed at $700k or so. It's amazing that these have fallen more than $150k, and still they are not affordable.

Again, thanks for the info!

The impact of hedge fund problem on real estate

I'm a casual observer of this...but, it seems that the hedge funds have been investing in securitized home loans. As the value of these products fall (due to the loans in them are going into default, etc.) there will be a smaller market for these securitized home loans. If lenders can't...

    My bad Consumer Spending News

hs_teacher and mino2126, you both seem to be saying the same thing about consumer spending and its affect on home prices. I think. To take mino's example a little farther... A decrease in consumer spending indicates that that there is less disposable income, less disposable income means a...

    Association Rules and Regs

It sounds like the HOAs / CC&Rs can be a source of frustration, but not enough of a factor to scare people away from any specific place.

    Association Rules and Regs

Hi, new to the area and to home ownership. (Currently renting---crash market crash!)

I'm curious about the HOAs and the regulations for each of the developments. Is there a resource to see what the rules and regulations are for each of the developments? Do some HOAs have better...
