How did you get gigabit for $40/mo? I thought my $70/mo was good...

I'm genuinely curious, for those with gigabit and have every room wired, why bother with a mesh network when most of the heavy traffic is on devices that are hard wired (PoE security cameras, computers, Roku, etc).  I don't know if I need a faster download than 300 Mbps on my wireless devices...
