Ive heard that this will be a non-guard gated community.  Can anybody confirm?

I'm going to be moving into a new development and wanted to get people's thoughts on insulation upgrades. Is it worth paying extra? I'm not near any major roads and will be in a quiet area, so outside noise shouldn't be too much of an issue.
