Toddler learned "I don't like that!" and "Stop it!" from preschool

Update: The most recent lines have been: "I need that!!" and "Don't need that!!!" (followed by snatching whatever you are offering to her out of your hand and throwing it on the floor)

Toddler learned "I don't like that!" and "Stop it!" from preschool

Learned a lot from this thread. Thank you my TI fellows! Thanks to Cubic for pointing to the standard bully responses. Yes, as a way for kids to express themselves, I am grateful that schools teach that. Sounds like it's time to get out of the soft and gentle baby model and into the cold cruel...

Toddler learned "I don't like that!" and "Stop it!" from preschool

Thank you guys for your input. If it's learned from another kid, I am less worried. If a teacher was using this kind of language routinely when she interacts with the children, I'd have issue with that.

Toddler learned "I don't like that!" and "Stop it!" from preschool

Our 2.5-year-old just started going to school. After she came home today, she kept repeating "I don't like that!" and "Stop it!" by herself. Obviously it's something new she just learned from school, because she's never said these words before, and we don't usually say things like this at home...

Great Foundation Montessori vs. Heritage Park Community Center Preschool?

Thank you so much for sharing your experience and perspective! I think our child is more on the quiet side, though I am not certain about the "easy to manage" part :-). I personally prefer for her to spend more time playing than sitting down studying. Would GFM turn her into a complete nerd...

Great Foundation Montessori vs. Heritage Park Community Center Preschool?

Hello to all your experienced parents, We are planning on sending our 2.5 year old to daycare/preschool for the first time this summer. We are offered a spot at Woodbury Great Foundation Montessori in their 2 year old classroom, three days a week (8:30 am - 3:30 pm), $960 per month. We are...

    Are Woodbury townhomes good investments?

Thank you guys for providing your perspectives. How important is it for a townhouse to have a yard/patio? Some of these Woodbury townhomes are essentially set up like an apartment (aka no private outdoor space except for maybe a balcony). Would future buyers and renters view this as a big drawback?

    Are Woodbury townhomes good investments?

Budget under 650K. We will live there for a few years and either sell it or rent it out. We like the walkability and amenities of Woodbury, but there are concerns about the high costs ($350 HOA, Mello Roos and higher property tax, etc.). What do you experts think?

    cypress village proposed cell tower

Hello All, Thanks for all the support, this is a great forum. I ran some really quick numbers (without doing a site survey, it's only possible to guesstimate), also since many areas aren't visible on google earth yet, it's difficult to get an accurate distance measurement. To give you guys...

    cypress village proposed cell tower

Thanks for the replies everyone! 29kW is a _lot_ of power. Forget accent lighting, we're talking stadium lighting here. I feel sorry for the guy in the middle rental townhome, hopefully they're not on the upper floors when this thing is on. :( I guess I was off by a few orders of magnitude...

    cypress village proposed cell tower

Hello All,   Have been mulling this over after reading the DRE. There is a proposed cell tower on roosevelt between bay tree and visions. From the map the sales office gave us, It's supposed to be alongside those eucalyptus groves, perhaps they're going to disguise it as a palm tree? It's...
