Unique and Interesting Websites

Over the years while exploring different interests, I have come across a number of websites that still reside in my browser favorites in an archive file. I thought some of you might find them interesting and perhaps would like to share some of your own.

Flash Animations for Physics

Long Bets

Photo Gallery of Japanese Zen Gardens

Golf Club Atlas

Lucid Dreaming Website

I have many more of these.

I cannot believe there are manuals and software programs available to assist people with Lucid dreaming! I didn't know that it was rare or that there was a name for it until I was watching Jeopardy 5-10 years ago and Lucid dreaming was the answer to a question. It's most helpful in bad dreams when I'm scared. I can usually steer myself away from whatever crazy event is scaring me and assure myself that there is no need to be afraid because I'm only dreaming.

It means you have a special gift. Buddhist monks have actually developed multi-year retreats full of meditation to develop the focus to maintain awareness and control through the sleep cycle. Basically, most people who want to do this have to work very hard at it.

The World Clock website. This one has always fascinated me.

Oh my, I'm going to dig through my closet right now and take a pic of my engrish tee to post

Here it is. The double takes I get when I wear this out in public are priceless. I'm happy to see the site is still around.

It is unique and it is interesting. It is also a bit disturbing but a great anti-drug site:

If folks still want to do drugs after looking at these ugly mugs, I guess there is no hope for them.

From Barry on Evernote. My thoughts are the same as his, thinking about trying it out. I forget stuff, sites, names, things to do all the freakin time. But would I actually use it...

Evernote is an interesting web app that allows you to grab all manner of media, files, webpages, etc. I am thinking of playing with it, as I am constantly finding little things I want to recall or save for future posting, but then forget about. Can anyone share any insights as to how well this works? Here?s their intro:

Evernote allows you to easily capture information in any environment using whatever device or platform you find most convenient, and makes this information accessible and searchable at any time, from anywhere. Did we mention that it?s free?
