Ruby's Diner revealed more details this week about the chain's first-ever "drive-in" diner concept, which is slated to open in a historic area of downtown Anaheim this spring.

The new diner will feature an old-fashioned outdoor carhop with 12 drive-in spaces complete with roller skating servers and a rotating reel of 1940s movies.

The restaurant is moving into the renovated historic Five Points Building, located at 1128 West Lincoln Avenue ? about two miles from Disneyland. Ruby's said the building, constructed in 1928, was once a thriving commercial area used by the original Anaheim Colonists.

The 4,100-square foot restaurant will take on a retro roadhouse look, featuring mahogany woods, leatherette booths and 1940s-inspired light fixtures. The chain is also working with local historians and the Anaheim Museum to obtain iconic photographs for the restaurant.
