You can buy North Atlantic (Maine) lobsters from live tanks at many Asian markets.  Also check with Gelsons.

For Pacific Spiny lobsters, you can check with the Dory fleet guys in Newport from Oct - March:https://twitter.com/doryfleethttp://www.doryfleet.com/fishermen.html

For those who may be unfamiliar, Maine lobsters have big claws, California/Pacific Spiny lobsters have bigger tails.  You can also check with Pearson's Port in Newport.  It's um...  a little hard to find if you didn't know what/where to look:

The nice thing about Ranch99 is that they will steam it while you wait. No cookware to clean, just enjoy your lobster at home.
