All, most of you have heard of the NSA spying scandal and their blanket collecting of all phone records, gathering internet traffic records, etc.

Representative Amash of Michigan proposed an amendment to the NSA funding bill to end the funding the programs that was narrowly voted down.

Representative John Campbell of the 45th congressional district represents Irvine, the foothill communities and many south county communities of posters on Talk Irvine.

I implore you to write to our representative.  Our representative DID NOT VOTE on this bill.

You may think he should have voted to keep funding, I think he should have voted to end funding.  The main issue is HE SHOULD HAVE VOTED.

So give him email hell.

So weak of him. At least be man enough to take a stand on record.

I would have wanted him to defund the program. We need more transparency in the collection of all this data by the government. Secret FISA court approval is NOT enough.
