I have a jpg on my computer. How do I get it to be my avatar? It isn't on a web page anywhere, so I don't have a "http" URL for it.

You will need to get that pic on the web. I use photobucket. Go to photobucket, create an account, and upload the pic. The http link it offers you will be the one you want to use.

Is anyone having trouble seeing avatars? I see my own on the screen but at least one other person isn't seeing it. It did disappear for a time today but then reappeared, I need to know if anyone else can't see my oompa loompa.

try this one http://www.uploadandgo.com/ then when it's uploaded go to the "Direct to image" window, copy the content then paste it into the URL window for avatars on TI...

I did all of that, it's there and I can see it both in the profile page and on my posts. I'm trying to figure out how it can be "hidden" from everyone else.
 
Tmare - I see it. Whatever you did, it must have worked because I didn't see it before.

Now it's gone again. Let me try to help you out and see if we can get it to stay up. Just a sec...

Were you able to find the section on your control panel to make the change? When I first read your post, you had an avatar and now it's gone. So, it looks like you found it.
