So which is better? having two girls or two boys? I hear that two baby girls are a lot more calm and quiet while two baby boys are naughty and loud. IR2, when I buy my Irvine home do i need to worry about the little boys drawing on the walls with crayons? This really happened to one my good friends, and he has two little boys around 2-4 years old.

I only buy washable markers and crayons. A little water and elbow grease....brand new looking walls.   :)

I use Clorox wipes. Didn't try magic eraser on walls yet. Next time:-)
I framed the pre-qualification letter and posted it at a conspicuous place under adequate lighting so that a guest with normal vision can see it and express substantial jealousy.

For me the difference between 2 and 3 wasn't really noticable until the activities started.

When you have 2 divide an conquer is a lot less complicated then it is with 3.

It got so bad that on certain weekends I actually use excel to schedule all of the different drop offs and pick ups with the times I actually need to be there.

I like to watch every event my kids participate in so it makes it a little more difficult.

I can't be one of those parents that doesn't show up when their kids are performances which may make it more difficult.

Yeah, they're all so cute when they are so small like a little cartoon character, but when they start growing up, that's when the problem starts  :)

3 is a huge difference than 2 at least for me.  I have 3 boys: 2, 4 and 7 years old.  It's funny but when I only had one I thought life was so hard, then I had 2 and realized having 1 was really easy.  Now that I have 3, I can truly say that 2 was so much easier than 3.  I am very happy to have 3 but it really does increase the parenting duties and time flies by so fast. Never enough time to get everything done. It is a lot of fun with 3 though, never a dull moment!

My take.  Our twins were a ton of work.  If you've only had multiples to take care of, you don't know what it's like to just take care of one child.  So while it was a lot of work raising twin babies, we just took it as the norm.  When we just had our 3rd child, we said to ourselves that it's a piece of cake.  Feeding, diapering, burping, etc. a singleton is cake compared to doing it for two at once.  The hard part right now is working the schedule of feeding the newborn every 3 hours and fitting that in with the twin toddlers' schedule.  The afternoon nap that my wife used to take is now gone and 3 am feeding is now added for her.  We marvel at how easy it must be to have just a single child.

We've been luck to have two boys that behave very well for the most part.  We've worked to teach them to only color on on their color books/paper and not to write on walls/furniture.  When one is trained, the other usually follows.  So we just have to work at getting either one to understand.  Also, they're a bit over 2 1/2 yrs old now and talk to each other all the time.  They play with each other too so that helps to entertain themselves.  Thank goodness that they have also been really good and respectful with their new sister.  They are understanding when we are feeding her and have to do things for her.

So for us, we wanted another child after our twins.  We also didn't want them too far apart or else we felt that they wouldn't be close.  I feel bad that my twin brother and I left our younger brother out during our childhood.  My wife feels that her older sister and younger brother aren't as close as they could be also due to age.  So our twins and daughter are about 2 1/2 yrs apart.  Not too close, but not too far in age.  Hopefully the twin boys will be body guards for our daughter.

Congratulations JVNA on your new baby girl. What a nice complete family - 2 twin boys and 1 daughter. Mr and Mrs Panda hopes to follow your foot steps  :)

We attended our weekly prenatal class and saw some video on natural birth and C-Section birth. This class really shook me up with hair standing on my back. My wife is now starting to get huge and we have less than 2 months before our twin boys arrive. We're preparing for the worst  :) JVNA, Thanks for all your valuable advice over past couple of months.

My wife delivered the twins at 35 1/2 weeks.  That's pretty good for twins.  Their full term is at 38 weeks instead of the usual 40 due to size.  Luckily, the boys were positioned correctly so that my wife was able to give a vaginal birth.  She wasn't in much pain during the delivery as she got an epidural.  It was the recovery that was painful for her.  It was better than a C would've been.  Just expect that the twins will come early.
