1. Facebook Disconnect
"Stop Facebook from tracking the webpages you go to.
Facebook is notified whenever you visit one of the more than one million sites on the web that use Facebook Connect and has a history of leaking personally-identifiable information to third parties.

Turn off the flow of your data to them!

Facebook Disconnect blocks all traffic from third-party sites to Facebook servers but still lets you access Facebook itself."

2. Facebook Open Graph Redirect
"View all those Facebook Open Graph shares in your news feed without installing their corresponding apps.
With Facebook's recent updates, it is now possible to see what your Facebook friends are reading and watching on many websites, including Yahoo, The Washington Post, MS NBC, Social Cam, The Guardian, and Viddy, right on Facebook. However, to actually view any of the things your Facebook friends are reading / watching yourself, many websites currently force you to install their Facebook apps. Once installed, these apps will then post whatever you watch or read on their sites to Facebook!

Take back your privacy! With 'Facebook Open Graph Redirect,' all Open Graph Facebook links in the News Feed and on friends' walls that used to require you to install an app to see the content will now go straight to the piece of content you want to view. No more installing Facebook apps that post everything you do to Facebook!"
