Anybody else read this article on Digital Ecosystems...?  Really good and unbiased...

Digital ecosystems: an in-depth comparison
Putting the six biggest digital ecosystems to the test to find out who excels where

So, ultimately, which ecosystem should you use? The most fragmented one you can tolerate. Loyalism to any one brand or company breeds unnecessary dependency on services that are rarely the best in their class. Use Gmail, but don't bother with Google+. Buy an iPhone, but don't rely on iCloud. Get a PS3, but steer clear of the Unlimited streaming services. Own a Windows 8 tablet without buying the Zune Music Pass. For today at least, the integration of multiple services into one package is more helpful to the company trying to sell its full bundle of goods than for the user looking for a seamless digital experience.

Why, I look away for a second, and the Internet changes again...  trying to look for the Drive App; but it is actually just an update to your Google Docs...

Everything is looking good... it's always a great day when you get stuff, like 5 gigs of stuff...

The RC family usually takes a family vacation after the back to back trade shows in May.  We were planning on staying home this year but decided last minute to take a trip.  It took all of about 2 minutes, and the look from the wife that said "we need to get away".

We just wanted to stay in LA, maybe stay at a hotel near the beach in PV, but I decided to take an adventure and see some family along the way up north.  Coming from being self-employed, I’m still getting used to not feeling guilty having to calling into work explaining that instead of coming in; I’m instead heading to the airport and won’t be in for the next few days.

I used Google Flights and Hotel, and planned an instant trip to of all places Coulterville and Medford Oregon in exactly 5 minutes.  Found this tiny little town in the outskirts of Medford call Ashland.  If Google says it’s a great place then who am I to disagree.

I can’t even begin to describe the experience we had; and the rest we got.  I do forget how it feels to walk into a restaurant and only see white people in the kitchen; all who speak perfect English and can explain all the specials with clarity and imagination.  I love the small town feel where you strike up a conversation with just about anybody you see walking down the street.  The town hosts a fantastic Shakespeare festival and we caught about four shows.

Had one of the best mother's day ever; feels great to not be strapped to a house; and have a budget to blow on last minute trips; and feels great to again learn about yourself and what kind of a town, vibe you want to raise your family in.  I'm by no means racists and I love all people but there is something about not seeing an Asian besides the one in the mirror for four days, and being around the kindest, friendliest, un-pretentious, modest folks on Earth.  Gotta love getting away...

I'm back... didn't missed a step with work, calls and emails...  My Android keeps me in check with the tedious, meticulousness, tasks; and let's me enjoy the life as if it were a movie.  I actually get a lot more done with my virtual desk then I do sitting in front of my messy, clutter desk... plus, I don't get interrupted by calls and walk-ins all day... bla... back to the grind...  the RC Tablet Fund is completely depleted, but well worth it...
