FDA will not require clinical trial data in approving new redesigned Covid boosters against BA.4 and BA.5.  Instead they will rely on the merits of the clinical trial data on efficacy and safety of the vaccine formulated for the original BA.1 variant.  https://www.reuters.com/legal/government/fda-will-not-require-clinical-trial-data-authorize-redesigned-covid-boosters-2022-06-30/

It's okay... most people aren't getting boosted anyways. :(

Nor should they if they don't want to die prematurely.

It's okay... most people aren't getting boosted anyways. :(

That's kind of surprising, but they're still getting data from previous trials and studies. It's not like the FDA is just approving it without any data whatsoever.
