Novavax - non-mrna vaccine files EUA

This is for those who do not want to take mRNA vaccines or adenovirus vaccines (both send instructions to the cells so your own cells produce spike proteins - Pfizer and Moderna use mRNA and J&J uses DNA as instructions), Novavax just filed for their protein subunit vaccine (instead of producing the spikes inside the body, the spike protein is produced outside the body in a lab).

Since most vaccine hesitant are uncomfortable with having their own body create spike proteins, this would be a good alternative if approved.  This would also be available as a booster.

I don't understand their strategy. FDA already told Covaxin (another prominent protein based vaccine) manufacturer to pound sand and not bother seeking EUA.

Also Fauci already thinks we have enough vaccines and no need to bother with new vaccines. He admitted he is surprised that there is even interest in protein based, more traditional vaccines. He is out of touch because if he really want to push people to be vaccinated, addressing one of the biggest concern some unvaccinated people have, would go a long way.

So if the vaccine hesitant people want to have traditional vaccines, and they are authorized in other countries, why not give them EUA in the US?

If the vaccine hesitant people want to see more safety data themselves, why try to lock the data away for 75 years?
