Anyone know where you can get a Medallion Signature Guarantee? My wife wants to purchase some i-bonds and Treasury Direct is requiring her get one from a financial institution. I've called Wells Fargo (our bank) and they no longer offer it. I called other banks and they require she open an account to do it. Seems a bit archaic to me, but figure perhaps someone else has run into this issue and can offer a solution?

I got one at Citibank a couple years ago. Seems there was like only 1 guy that does it and he only works on the third Thursday of months ending in Y, and he lives in the Alps under guarded protection and only comes out when the sun is at a particular angle to the earths vortex. But I found that guy and got it! What a pain though.
I think it has to be at a Bank or Credit Union, you'll probably have to open an account to get it unfortunately. Or ask them if they will do it for a fee for non-account holders? Worth a shot.
