Food court at Wholesome choice market

It's been over a year since I've eaten at the food court (to go) in Wholesome choice market.  I went yesterday to purchase lamb shank and aloo gobi from the Indian place near front.  That was a mistake.

The lamb shank and cauliflower were both hard and undercooked.  Even the naan bread tasted stale.  Worse, what they tried to pass as "Japanese-Korean" food in hot table to the left looked like Panda Express items.  What the heck?

On the plus side, the supermarket's fruit selection is still good and Tunisian dates are on sale.

The food used to be much better than this.  I wonder if they actually taste tested it before selling.  >_>

I like Laxmi Sweets and Spices in Tustin for Indian market food but it looks like that place changed owners recently.
Oh, that was family run for such a long time. Their food was a bit pricier than other similar indian grocery + food place, but their food was tasty and unlike the regular common indian food fare. Sorry to know if the owners after so many years decided to sell.

I think my coworker used to order samosas from Laxmi Sweets for work, they were quite good.

For Indian food in Irvine I prefer Vishnu.  Sadly they are not doing the lunch buffet and is take out only for now.  If they're closed for whatever reason, go to "Smart Kitchens" to the right and you can order from half a dozen different kitchens.
