The Best Ant Killer

I swear by the Terro liquid stuff. It's not good as a preventative measure, and you have to endure seeing a line of ants around the trap for 24 hours, but after that they don't come back (at the same location).
 
Terro helps but isn't a fix. We have neighbors who have a service come out monthly. They've had relative success but not a permanent solution. We've used Terro but recently added diatomaceous earth around the entire base of the house and out in the garden area. We're way down from ant swarms this year compared to others because of using this tool. 
 
I guess I am officially the cheapest guy/froogle guy on TI. I used lime juice and it worked with me.
No chemicals required. :D
 
My ant guy comes spray every quarter and I have not seen a single ant for years. It works wonders for me.

chemical based?
There is also organic spray at stores.
