I am wondering if you want to find record of new commercial buildings and their ownership,, what would be the best source of that information. Is that information publicly available in tax records?

I am interested to find.

New commercial buildings being built
Ownership info and tenants

Thanks for your help in advance.

Tax records will have owner but most commercial properties are bought via LLCs or other means.

CoStar may have the closed lease information.

Yes they have it. Buts its paid and expensive. Wondering where they get that data from

They literally have teams of people that call brokers to get information, call building security or receptionists, walk into the buildings and read the directories, etc. It's a pretty huge operation to get their data which is why they charge so much for the information.

Yup, that's why a subscription is over $2,000 a month.

Thanks. Yes you are right. Wondering is that information kept at county and tax record levels? Like how big the building is, and who owns it etc?

That's all information at the county.  Easy to pull up in MLS with an address.
