Solid Hardwood Floors?

You can't install solid hardwood floors unless you have plywood floors because hardwood floors are installed using nails and not glue like engineered wood flooring.

Ive done hardwood on all my properties. Whats your question?

Who did you use? What was the cost? How long did the install take with all the sanding and finishing?

I think most folks really don't know the difference and I think most have done engineered hardwood being that it is relatively inexpensive and it can be installed on the concrete slab which is most common on the ground floor. We did solid hardwood in the past (plywood subfloor, not in Irvine) and it was quite the involved process (time for the wood to adjust, incredible amount of dust from all the sanding and finishing) and it was quite expensive at ~$15/sqft for the material and another ~$15/sqft for the labor.
It would be nice to have a ZeroLot post on it :)
