He didn't target Asians per se, but massage parlors (prostitution shops) that happened to be run by Asians.  His motive is that he has a sex addiction and felt that these shops were a temptation to him.

From your CNN link:

And preliminary information indicates that the killings -- of six Asian people and two White people -- may not have been a hate crime, but instead may have something to do with the suspect's claim of a potential sex addiction, Cherokee County Sheriff Frank Reynolds said at the joint news conference.

The sheriff also said the shooter was just "having a bad day".... I kid you not

The shooter went to THREE different Asian owned businesses to kill.

The narrative that is some sort of colorblind killing and the motive might have been not race based is just not very believable to me.

Wait...you are taking the word of a southern law enforcement official that certain acts of violences are not racially motivated?
https://twitter.com/e_alexjung/status/1372172564399853571?s=20

We have not even gotten into the long term stereotype and racist views acceptable by large portions of American society that Asian women are "exotic" and "submissive" while Asian men are weak and effeminate.

Also somehow this attack was not racially motivate despite the sudden and extreme rise in anti-Asian attacks since Trump's use of "China Virus" and "Kung Flu".

Seriously...why is it so hard for people just to call a spade a spade?

I?m jaded so I?m going with my own theory.  The problem all started when the Asian ?girl? in the massage parlor said no the the happy ending for the dumbass evangelical militant incel because she doesn?t offer that service, or she just doesn?t want to or he?s so incompetent he can?t even buy a happy ending in a happy ending shop (if the shops in question were those kinds of shops) and he then flipped out and targeted the other shops he failed at too.

Actually the problem probably was he couldn?t keep his side of the bargain up, if those businesses where that business.  Likely doubly problematic if they weren?t since he would assume they were, which means all the hinting to touch his junk isn?t working and probably getting his ass banned.

So yea, he targeted Asian ?girls? in ?that? business even if they weren?t because he?s a sex addict incel evangelical militant who is entitled to somebody else touching his junk besides himself.

But like I said, I?m jaded.

I don't think it's possible to have an accurate narrative until facts are gathered.  Irvinecommuter and yourself want to see race-based hatred, so that's what you will see.  The killer also killed two white people that were not Asian.  I wonder how many massage parlors in that area are run by non-Asians?

Really...we are in 2021 and you want to take the word of a police official as to issues of race and racial violence.  At a minimum, it would be prudent to say...this seems like a racially motivated attack in light of recent events, the facts currently available to us, and the rise of white nationalism.

Then move on to a discussion about how Trump certainly did not help with the issue by attempting to scapegoat Asians for a worldwide pandemic.

But instead...you went with the "the glass half empty/half full" defense.

You are not jaded if it mirrors reality....Asian women have been long depicted as submissive and exotic so if this terrorist was rejected by them and he already had an issue re the opposite sex, it could have been the last straw.

But of course, that does not eliminate the racist/hate aspect of the attacks even if other factors were involved.

Same reason people don?t believe in or willing to do anything about system racism against black people for last couple hundred years here.

I think the end result of this is going to be another anti-Christian backlash.  He got it in his head that he needed to stop sex workers from plying their trade because they were tempting him; his next target was going to be the "porn industry" in Florida.

The Sheriff that IrvineCommuter is accusing of racism saved more lives from being lost, possibly more Asian lives.

Really...you are now worried about an anti-Christian backlash in connection with a mass shooter who killed 8 Asian women.

He was so concerned about the sex trade that he drove passed past all the strip clubs that were adjacent to the massage parlor who you assume were actually sex shops.

I can't even deal with the last comment...Blue Lives Matter right?

Oh...what a coincidence.

I hope there is anti-Christian backlash, to be honest. Religion is a huge scam that has created a bunch of racists that believe in "free will" as primary determinants on a person's behavior. This gives Christians justifications on blaming problems on minorities. Not to mention all the deaths/violence/etc that religion has caused in the past. What an outdated, man-made, load of bologna

Asian Americans Flock to Second Amendment for Protection

Gun-Sales-640x480.jpg

Asian Americans are flocking to gun stores to arm themselves for self-defense amid the rise in anti-Asian hate crimes.

Forbes spoke to Jimmy Gong, owner of Jimmy?s Sport Shop in Mineola, New York, and he said, ?There are more Asians being introduced to firearms. Before, there was never gun culture in the Asian community. But after the pandemic and all the hate crime going on, there are more Asians buying guns to defend themselves.?

Gong noted his business doubled during the era of coronavirus, and half of his customer base is comprised of Asian Americans.

Forbes points to findings from the Center for the Study of Hate and Extremism at California State University, San Bernardino, which show ?hate crimes against Asian-Americans surged 149 percent in 2020, while overall hate crimes fell 7 percent.?

In March 2020, Breitbart News reported that California gun sales were spiking as Asian Americans sought out firearms to defend themselves.

CBS LA observed gun stores in San Gabriel Valley were seeing gun sales skyrocket. Stores such as Arcadia Firearm & Safety were seeing ?10 times? as many customers as usual, and store owner David Liu said it was because of fears caused by the coronavirus.

I admit, I was wrong.  Spot on actually, just under emphasized the fire and brimstone small time punk evangelical congregation pumping gay conversion therapy and missed Mom and Dad kicking him out for too much porn.

Now of course, his church disowns him, cause they're not that.

That?s f?d up.

It?s either targeted hate crime or like homeless guy in Ventura that stabbed the dad in the restaurant for no reason.

The true hate crime, ImHO, is the building security guard just closing the door.  The criminal already had walked away, you don?t even check AFTER it happens?  Depraved heart.

Yahoo News: New York Deploys Undercover Asian Agents to Combat Hate Crimes

In an effort to end the violence against Asian Americans, New York City will deploy officers to the streets in plain clothes starting this weekend. The plan, part of a two-pronged approach announced on Thursday, will use an all-Asian team of police officers, according to New York City Police Commissioner Dermot Shea.

Aside from deploying an undercover force, New York police are also ramping up outreach efforts. Community forums were recently held in Chinatown, Flushing and Sunset Park. There is also a direct email to hate crimes task force investigators at asianhctf@nypd.org who can assist with "non-emergency concerns."

Man arrested in hate crime assault on Asian woman was out on parole for killing his mom
Brandon Elliot was arrested early Wednesday. The NYPD has recommended charges of two counts of assault as a hate crime, attempted assault as a hate crime and other charges.

Elliot served 17 years in state prison for stabbing his mother to death, the NYPD told CNN. He was released on lifetime parole in November 2019.
