Walnut Village- The Colony

looking into a property in Walnut Village, more specifically at the Colony

Any residents or Irvinians familiar with the neighborhood can give me some insight

I hear some negatives about College Park close to the tracks which is a neighborhood directly south.

I try to find the good parts of all the communities in Irvine, so I'll give some of my thoughts. I actually like how small and intimate the community is. The homes aren't horrible, just old. The part that's borders Walnut is much better than the other side. A huge portion of homes border the 5 offramp while another corner borders Culver. If you can snag a home that's closer to the Walnut side, I say go for it.

As for College Park, I like that community along with Greentree. I used to live in Windwood which is opposite the train tracks from College Park and the train startled me for the first few months when it would go through, but eventually I found it somewhat soothing.
