Irvine looks to unplug from SCE

What?s the end game here?  Sounds like SCE just sells wattage to the city who rebrands it and sells it to the homeowner?

They might buy in bulk to get a discount and then pass along part of the savings to the residents and then pocket the rest.
 
Doesn't sound fun to me.

Irvine Water is so expensive compared to any other city I lived in. We are on the lowest percentile group of water users but it is still $50+ per month. My previous houses had yards with sprinklers, etc. and the bill was only $20 per month.

Same.  Spending more on water than gasoline these days  ???
