Has anyone tried volunteering with CERT / Citizen Emergency Response Team? I'm reading up on the 2007 Santiago Fire, and with this fire fresh on my mind, I thought it might be useful to the community to volunteer in some capacity and perhaps I could even pick up some skills along the way.
Interested in your experiences, whether you felt like your time was well used or wasted, etc.
